CAMINO EN ESPAÑOL
WALK ONE OF THE WORLD'S MOST HISTORIC ROUTES... WHILE SPEAKING SPANISH!
Camino en Español is designed for curious travelers who want to experience more than just a vacation.
This is a chance to experience Spain through its people, villages, landscapes, traditions, and language - one step at a time.
Throughout the journey, Spanish will come to life in fun, natural, and confidence-building ways: ordering coffee, sharing meals, greeting locals, and connecting with people along the Camino. GOGI Abroad's experienced Camino guides handle all the daily logistics (accommodations, luggage transfers, transportation, route planning) so you can relax, walk, learn, and fully enjoy the experience.

THE ICONIC ROAD AHEAD...
Our adventure takes place along the final and most celebrated stretch of the Camino Frances, where we'll walk from Triacastela to Santiago de Compostela, then continue to Finisterre, once known as "the end of the earth." The route winds through the lush green hills of Galicia: quiet country roads, forested paths, ancient villages, stone churches, and welcoming pilgrim towns.
We begin and end in Madrid, with time to soak up city life, tapas, and plazas before and after the walk.
Total walking: about 100 miles over 8 walking days, at your own pace. Your luggage is shuttled ahead each day, so you carry only a small daypack. And each evening ends the Spanish way: gathered around a table, sharing food and stories.

HOW MUCH SPANISH DO YOU NEED?
This trip is best suited for travelers who are already comfortable with basic Spanish conversation. You don't need to be fluent. You just need enough Spanish to greet people, ask simple questions, and enjoy jumping into everyday interactions.
Spanish is woven into the experience itself: morning pre-walking meetings with a Spanish-speaking guide, conversations on the trail, and real-life moments in cafés, shops, and restaurants along the way.
Participants receive a discount on Express Fluency classes before the trip, and we'll offer a class designed specifically for the Camino group. If you are not feeling quite ready, you have time to boost your Spanish before the trip!
AN EXPERIENCE OF A LIFETIME
Camino en Español is an invitation to experience Spain not just as a visitor, but through language, culture, community, and connection - one conversation, one village, and one step at a time.

“Walking the Camino was one of the most meaningful experiences of my life. Along the way, I met people I never would have encountered otherwise. Even when we did not speak the same language, we connected through smiles, shared moments, and the simple rhythm of walking the same path day after day. This trip reminded me of the deep humanity that connects us all.”

“I enjoyed the walk of a lifetime with a group of bold, brave, and beautiful women, both old friends and new friends. We laughed, we cried, we ate, we drank, we sang, and boy did we walk. The leadership allowed us to relax, focus on the experience, and appreciate the gifts found along the way. The attention to detail and local connections created a colorful and unforgettable journey.”
